Neuro-EM Scholars Pipeline Program

The Neuro-EM Scholars Pipeline Program provides advance training for early career investigators (senior residentsfellows, and first-year faculty) who are not yet eligible or ready to apply for the K12 program.

How to Apply

Candidates must be nominated by their chair, division chief, or program director. Candidates must work with their nominator to complete a brief 2-page nomination form, which must then be submitted via email by the nominator.

Chosen Pipeline participants will be notified so they can arrange their travel to the 2026 Neuro-EM Retreat.

Who is eligible to be nominated?

Emergency medicine senior residents (PGY2 and above), fellows, and first-year faculty interested in neurological sciences research who are likely to apply to the K12 program in 1-2 years.

Benefits

Each year, this program will support at least 10 early career investigators. The primary support provided is that Pipeline participants are invited to attend the Neuro-EM Scholars Program Annual Retreat for the year, where they will receive grant writing training, attend career development sessions, and participate in networking events. Funds for travel, lodging, and meals during the Retreat are covered by the program.
